Hypnosis has been approved by the American Medical Association (AMA) for medical procedures, including the reduction or elimination of pain.  

When you choose to have a natural, drug free childbirth, you can have a healthier delivery for you and your baby.  Nurses and doctors are becoming increasingly aware of the advantages of using hypnosis.  You will always have the ability to use anesthesia if you desire, but most doctors and nurses report that, when it is requested, much less is needed than when hypnosis is not used.  As a result, both mother and child are more healthy and alert.  Not using chemical anesthesia or using much less anesthesia, also tends to aid in recovery for the new mother and infant.

You will gain an understanding of how the birthing muscles work in perfect harmony--as they were designed to--when you are relaxed.You will learn how to achieve this kind of relaxation, free of the resistance that fear creates, and you will learn to use your natural birthing instincts for a gentle and comfortable birthing.
